It started with a yard sign – Ted was assisting his children with their summer mowing jobs when he saw a “Junk Removal, Starting At $75” sign on the side of the road. They were averaging $40 to perform lawn maintenance, which consumed nearly 2-hours. He thought, “We could fill a truck bed in less than 5 minutes!”
As a marketing executive for nearly 2 decades, he thought about how they could disrupt the market and bring innovation to what appeared to be a legacy industry, where virtually all providers were still pushing (hard) for onsite assessments as the “only way” to provide accurate pricing, and make the most money.
